Des Moines, Iowa- Iowa Women for Progressive Change PAC is now accepting endorsement applications from candidates in state and local races. Candidates must apply on the PAC’s website by August 20, 2018 to be considered.

Sonia Reyes-Snyder, Co-Chair of the PAC, said, “Iowa Women for Progressive Change is excited to continue to endorse candidates that are committed to creating change in our public systems to improve the lives of underrepresented Iowans.” If endorsed, the PAC will publicly support the candidate and activate a network of volunteers who can provide field and other in-kind volunteer services. Endorsement does not necessarily mean that the PAC will provide a donation. This is a separate decision made each cycle based on availability of funds and the pool of candidates who apply.

IWPC’s vision is that Iowa is an equitable state led by people with a variety of identities, backgrounds, and perspectives who engage all constituents in dismantling oppressive systems.

Nicci Port, Board Member, said “With the success of endorsed candidates so far, we’re looking forward to continuing the good work of identifying, educating and supporting the next wave of progressive leaders in Iowa.”

Iowa Women for Progressive Change PAC seeks to build a more equitable Iowa by shifting power to a more diverse group of leaders committed to ending the systems that uphold racism, sexism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia and all other forms of discrimination.
